1. Is "Granite" cookware made of real stone? No, it is not made of solid stone. "Granite" refers to the aesthetic finish and texture. These pans are made with a high-quality aluminium core for excellent heat conduction, coated with a multi-layer non-stick surface that is reinforced with stone-derived particles. This makes the coating harder and more durable than traditional smooth non-stick pans. 2. Is Impex Granite cookware safe for health? Yes. Our Granite cookware is PFOA-Free, This means it does not contain the harmful chemicals often associated with older generations of non-stick cookware. It is safe for everyday cooking and does not release toxic fumes even if the pan gets hot. 3. Can I use metal spoons with this cookware? Impex Granite cookware is not fully Metal Spoon Friendly. But the reinforced stone-effect coating is significantly 10x scratch-resistant compared to normal non-stick pans. However, to maintain the non-stick performance for years, we highly recommend using wooden, silicone, or nylon spatulas. Constant use of sharp metal edges may eventually dull the surface. 4. How much oil do I need to use? Very little. The 5-layer Impex granite coating provides superior non-stick release. You can cook healthy meals-like dosas, eggs, or sautéed veggies—with just a drop of oil, or even oil-free if you prefer, without food sticking to the surface. 5. Is it compatible with Induction cooktops? Yes. All our Granite cookware range comes with a heavy-duty, electromagnetic induction base. It is compatible with all heat sources: Gas Stoves, Induction Cooktops, Electric Hot Plates, and Ceramic Hobs. 6. Why does this last longer than my plain black non-stick pan? Standard non-stick pans usually have a 2 or 3-layer coating. Impex Granite cookware typically features a 5-layer coating system. The extra reinforced layers make it tougher against abrasion (wear and tear) and heat, giving it a longer lifespan than standard non-stick cookware. 7. Can I wash it in a dishwasher? While the pan is technically dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing. The harsh chemicals and high heat in a dishwasher can degrade the non-stick coating over years. Since nothing sticks to the granite surface, a simple wipe with a soft sponge and soapy water is usually enough to clean it in seconds. 8. Can I use high heat for fast cooking? We recommend cooking on Low to Medium heat. The aluminium body conducts heat very fast, so high heat is usually unnecessary. Overheating the pan (above 260°C) can damage the non-stick properties and shorten the life of the cookware. 9. Are the handles comfortable? Yes, Impex Granite cookware features ergonomic "Soft-Touch" handles. These are made of Bakelite with a special silicone-like finish that provides a firm, non-slip grip and stays cool while cooking, ensuring safety and comfort. 10. What should I do before using it for the first time? To condition ("season") your new pan: 1. Wash it with mild soapy water and dry it. 2. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil over the non-stick surface with a paper towel or cloth. 3. Heat it on low for 1 minute, then let it cool. This simple step helps enhance the non-stick performance right from the first use.
